Real Madrid TEC

“The Real Madrid TEC activated a Biomechanics Laboratory to create objective evaluations of all the Club’s Athletes, for both Football and Basketball.
We asked BTS, a leader in the society of biomechanics and field of technology, to build our laboratory in which there were different evaluation systems integrated and synchronized with each other. We think that through the use of this technology the individual biomechanical parameters during different motion gestures (running, jump, change-of-direction, etc.) and technical gestures (shooting, heading, etc. ) can be analyzed and consequently, the training programs can be improved in an analytic and customized way. In the Biomechanics laboratory, all the Real Madrid Athletes (from different categories and ages) make periodical evaluations that allow us to identify the subjective characteristics of each of them and to intervene consequently.
The evaluations are repeated every two months however, for injured or at risk
athletes the assessment is more frequent.
Besides the laboratory evaluations, we integrate in-field test in specific situations by
using out-door video camera systems and wireless devices”.
